To celebrate New York City’s creative spirit and cultural influence, Instagram partnered with the MTA in December 2024 to release a final commemorative MetroCard, featuring beloved local content creators like @SubwayTakes, @NewYorkNico, and @OverheardNewYork.

As part of this momentous campaign, Hornet collaborated with Instagram to bring the platform into the real world by transforming key subway stations like Union Square and West 4th into immersive, real-life Instagram feeds. The takeover spotlighted work from New York-based creators and turned everyday commutes into curated experiences that reflected the city’s energy, humor, and heart.
